My interior style is a mix of eclectic, bohemian, country cottage and east coast seaside.
Such a room uses neutral colours as a backdrop (such as pure white) with timber browns, silver/grey metals and bright contrasting colours dotted in between.
Contrast is an important element for colours and materials in eclectic /bohemian interior design.
The style can be described as laid-back, carefree, free spirited and devoid of strict rules. It combines opposites – new and old, vintage and modern, neutrals and vibrants, antiques and new pieces, different styles/textures and intricate patterns, mismatched and cherished items. I just love combing the globe for items that evoke an emotive response and bringing it all together to create a room of complete serenity.
